Everyone enjoys a nice terrace when the weather allows it in London, and really, who doesn’t like a roof with a view? Here is our list for you, as voted by our community of locals:
Queen of Hoxton, Shoreditch
Where? 1 Curtain Rd, London EC2A 3JX
This is a lively hipster hotspot in the heart of East London that is hosted in a 3 floor venue. At the top, a magnificent terrace which changes its appearance seasonally, makes it a perfect location throughout the year. From laid back Carribean parties and BBQs to cozy tents with fires and warm alcoholic drinks, this rooftop is the ideal place to relax with some friends. They also host a number of events and workshops like lectures on futurism and sustainable living, headphone discos and immersive theatrical experiences.
Bussey rooftop bar, Peckham
Where?: Roof B Bussey Building, 133 Rye Ln, London SE15 4ST
This is a rooftop bar that sits at the highest point in Peckham and in the summer hosts Frank’s cafe, a highlight for locals of the area. It is a magnificent spot at the top of a 10-floor car park that has been transformed into a hotspot of South East London. Throughout the day you can enjoy a selection of cocktails and food, over a jaw-dropping view of the city. This location remains a cultural hub throughout the rest of the season as well, when the non-profit organisation known as “Bold Tendencies” transforms this car park into a place that hosts several contemporary art programmes, orchestral music events and architectural projects just like Frank’s Cafe. Currently it is undergoing some changes, but it will be back up and running before summer!

Formerly known as Rumpus Room, this rooftop is located on the 12th floor of a boutique hotel in South Bank. It has delicious cocktails and nibbles and it also features open-air balconies with panoramic views over the river and the city.
